U-46 seniors honored as Illinois State Scholars

  School District U-46 announced that 214 seniors were named Illinois State Scholars from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
  The achievement is based on being considered being in the top 10 percent of seniors across the state through test scores, class rank, grade point average and class size. There are about 16,700 state scholars.
  “We are extremely proud of our students for demonstrating dedication and discipline in achieving academic excellence,” said Lela Majstorovic, assistant superintendent of schools, for a district press release. “We also recognize our teachers, counselors, mentors, and family members who supported our students as they worked to meet their goals.”
  From high schools in The Examiner’s coverage area, Bartlett had 79, South Elgin 62 and Streamwood 18.
