U-46 releases names of Illinois State Scholars

  A record number of students were named as Illinois State Scholars in School District U-46 according to a recent press release.
  From the district’s five high schools, 266 seniors were named to the list which is selected by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission which uses a student’s class rank along with ACT/SAT scores to determine the list. According to the U-46 release, these students are in the top 10 percent of graduates.
  “Congratulations to the hard working U-46 members of this elite group,” U-46 CEO Tony Sanders said via the release. “We especially want to recognize their families and teachers for supporting and guiding these students toward success. Their accomplishments reflect the rigor and quality education available across our district.”
  From The Examiner readership area there were 101 students from Bartlett High School, 79 from South Elgin High School and 29 from Streamwood High School.
