Illinois State Scholars named from Dist. U-46

  School District U-46 had 202 high school seniors named Illinois State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
  From 726 schools in the state, over 17,000 students earned the recognition based on exam scores and their class rank after their sixth semester. The scholars represent “approximately the top 10 percent of academic achievers among the Class of 2020 at each participating high school,” according to a U-46 press release.
  “We are so incredibly proud of our students for this achievement,” Lela Majstorovic, assistant superintendent for secondary schools, said for the release. “Their hard work and dedication has earned them the recognition they deserve. We are grateful to our parents, schools, and communities for supporting them along their journey.”
  Of the 202 U-46 students, 138 are from schools in The Examiner coverage area including 76 from Bartlett, 47 from South Elgin and 15 from Streamwood.
