On 12/8/15 at approximately 1:00pm Kane County Sheriff’s Detectives were in a parking lot in the area of Farnsworth Ave and Interstate 88 in Aurora when they observed a suspected drug transaction take place. Detectives waited for the suspected transaction to finish and stopped a Jeep as it drove away. Deputes located approximately 157 pounds of suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of approximately $1.4 million in the Jeep. Deputies took the driver of the Jeep, Luis Garcia, into custody. Detectives also took three other subjects- Ruben Guillen–Hernandez, Jamie Guillen-Hernandez and Sergio Delgadillo-Alvarez into custody after the Jeep drove away from the transaction. The other three subjects were believed to have been involved in the transaction. All four subjects are being held at the Kane County Adult Justice Center and each have a $2 million bond. The Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized the following charges against the four men:
- 1 count of cannabis trafficking
- 2 counts of unlawful manufacture/delivery of cannabis
- 1 count of unlawful possession of cannabis
