Getting on the DOGE - 02/12

By Rich Trzupek
I’ll take Trump’s unpaid, unelected bureaucrats over the Dems well-paid, unelected bureaucrats six days a week and twice on Sundays. What follows is a smattering of what Elon and his crew have come up with so far.
Musk and DOGE went after USAID, incredibly low-hanging leftist/woke rotten fruit. As a result some Dems may be starting to understand that they’re out of touch. That is to say that some (definitely not all) Dems are slowly realizing that among the reasons that Orange Man pulled a Grover Cleveland are the following.
  1) A whole bunch of Americans believe that dudes are dudes and chicks aren’t, 2) nobody gives a crap what you do with your genitals or with whom, but 3) it’s up to us as parents to decide when and how to share that information until our kids reach their majority, and 4) nobody would survive 10 steps walking down the street waving a rainbow flag in any town controlled by fanatic terrorists groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, so kindly remove your cranium from your rectum and make at least a modicum attempt to get on the side of basic human rights.
With those principals in mind, here are some of the low-lights from USAID portfolio. My completely unprofessional opinions may be found in parenthesis.
  • A $7.9 million sum to teach Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid “binary-gendered language;” $20 million for a new Sesame Street show in Iraq (tossing Bert and Ernie off of an appropriately high roof top consumed most of the budget).
  • $4.5+ million to “combat disinformation” in Kazakhstan. (Mostly including how to spell Kazakhstan.)  $1.5 million for “art for inclusion of people with disabilities.”
  • $2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala; $6 million to “transform digital spaces to reflect feminist democratic principles.” (Pretty sure that Jezebel.com is doing just fine.)
  • $2.1 million to help the BBC “value the diversity of Libyan society” (Before Gaddafi this would have been an exercise in dividing by zero. Now? Is there any way we can get Jeremy Clarkson to head up this project?)
  • $10 million worth of USAID-funded meals, which went to an al Qaeda-linked terror-group. (Keeping suicide-bombers in game shape!); $25 million for Deloitte to promote “green transportation” in the country of Georgia. (Joe Stalin – this was his birthplace – would be so proud.)
  • $2.5 million to promote “inclusion” in Vietnam; $16.8 million for a SEPARATE “inclusion” group in Vietnam.
  • $5 million to EcoHealth Alliance, one of the key NGOs funding bat virus research at the Wuhan lab; $20 million for a group related to a key player in the Russiagate impeachment hoax. (Guessing there is at least one Clinton and a couple of unaccountable suicides who knew a Clinton or two involved here, but who can keep count at this point?)
  • $1.1 million to an Armenian “LGBT group.” (In Armenian, pretty sure that actually stands for “Let’s Go Brother Tartars!” so I’m down with it.)
  • $1.2 million to help the African Methodist Episcopal Church Service and Development Agency in Washington, D.C., build “a state-of-the-art 440 seat auditorium.” (Separation of church/state at its best.)
  • $1.5 million to promote “LGBT advocacy” in Jamaica. (In Jamaica, pretty sure that actually stands for “Let’s Go Brother Tokers!” so I’m down with it.)
  • $2 million to promote “LGBT equality through entrepreneurship” in Latin America. (In Latin America, pretty sure that actually stands for “Let’s Get Burritos Tonight!” so I’m down with it.)
  • $500K to solve sectarian violence in Israel (just 10 days before the Hamas October 7 attack).
  • $2.3 million for “artisanal and small-scale gold mining” in the Amazon. (Two ways this one can possibly go: 1. “artisanal and small-scale gold mining” does not generate positive net income, in which case the salient question becomes “why fund the effort?”, or 2. “artisanal a small-scale gold mining does generate positive net income, in which case the question also becomes “why fund the effort?”
  • $6.3 million for men who have sex with men in South Africa. (For the record: we’re willing to have sex with South African men for $3.0 million a go. Price negotiable. Just in case anyone cares to economize.)
  • $8.3 million for “USAID Education: Equity and Inclusion.” (Disclaimer: “Equity and Inclusion” does not include the inclusion of any concepts or ideas that differentiate from those disseminated by the liberal academics, politicians and their mainstream media partners.)
  You are welcome.
