  Dictionary.com defines decorum as “dignified propriety of behavior, speech, dress, etc.” With rare exceptions, the notes I received from readers on the left who torture themselves by reading the Cheap Seats are less than decorous. Calling most of these message “hateful rants” hardly does them justice. Fortunately, I’m a big boy with a thick skin and I find the concept of “hate speech” an affront to freedom. So haters on the left are more than welcome to express their hate for yours truly.
  Yes, there are equally vile haters on the right. I am aware of this. However, we are decorous here in the Cheap Seats. We may make fun of public figures, but we hope that we do so in a way the less touchy among you may find amusing and/or thought provoking.
  Having said I don’t believe in “hate speech,” if I did then what I am about to share with you is one of the more hateful/crazy rants I’ve received in 21 years of writing for the mighty Examiner. I’m not going to share the name of the author, so we’ll just identify the author as “Captain All Caps.” The Captain’s shouted comments in response to my “Have a Banana” piece on Jan. 20 follow, along with my occasional observations (those, in normal inside voice). Enjoy.
  YOUR REPUBLIKLAN RANTS ABOUT DEMS IS ONE OF THE REASONS THAT WEDNEDAY RAG IS FAILING. YOU NEVER DO A COUNTERPOINT, ONLY YOUR LYIN B.S.
  (Shame the Captain couldn’t find contrary points of view elsewhere, like in basically 95 percent of the MSM).
  TELL THE TRUTH AND YOU MIGHT CONVINCE SOMEONE OTHER THEN TRUMPERS. I’M 72 YRS YOUNG, LIVED IN BARTLETT SINCE 1956 (EXCEPT FOR A VIETNAM VACATION), AND I AM REALLY DIS.TURBED BY YOU LOONIES ON THE RIGHT.
  (One, thank you for your service. Two, that second sentence makes much more sense if you delete everything after “DISTURBED”).
  THE REPUBLIKLAN PARTY IS OVER,SPLIT INTO 2 FACTIONS.,THE RACIST,BIGOTS WHO ARE STILL FIGHTING THE CIVIL WAR AFTER 165 YRS.,AND THE SENSIBLE GOP’RS LIKE ROMMNEY,SASSE,MURKOWSKY.,VS THE NUT JOBS,CRUZ AND HAWLEY AND GRAHAM.
  (It was something of a mistake for Cruz and Graham to introduce legislation to repeal the Thirteenth Amendment. Personally, I was three-fifths against doing so).
  YOU REPUBS HAVE A CENTRAL CONCEPT IN MODERN CONSERVATISM..VICTIMHOOD,A SOUR COLLECTION OF GRIEVANCIES,AND DELUSIONAL CLAIMS OF PERSECUTIONS.TRUMP GAVE YOU A SAFE PLACE,SHEILDED FROM FACTS....AMERICA IS NOW A BANANA REPUBLIC  IN CARE OF BANANA REPUBLIKLANS
  (The Captain appears to be unaware that his guys actually won. Well, there’s no distracting a Democrat on a roll with relevant data).
 TRUMP WON’T BE STARTING A PATRIOT PARTY FROM PRISON CELL.HE’S GONNA BE TIED UP IN THE COURTS  OR IN JAIL TILL HE DIES,SO MANY  OFFENCES,RAPE,PEDOPHILIA,INCOME TAX EVASION,COLLUDING WITH PUTIN AND RUSSIA,PLUS HE HAS NO $$$,AND WILL LOSE HIS HOTELS,AND GOLF COURSES SOON TO PAY OFF DEBTS.,AND WHO KNOWS WHAT RUSSIANS WILL DO TO COLLECT THE 1.9 BILLION THEY GAVE HIM.
  (If this were part of a Warner Brothers cartoon – which it really ought to be – it would be at this point that Captain’s head explodes.)

  (It was actually 12, but many on the left struggle with arithmetic).

  (Thus introducing her to the concept of people in authority giving you money for doing nothing, and so ensuring a new generation of Democrats!)
