About Us

Our Mission

Examiner Publications, Inc. is your community source for quality, in-depth news and information, taking an active approach in providing responsible coverage of local issues and events to its readers.

Our readers are from eight very different and distinct towns and deserve the local news coverage that pertains just to them.
We pride ourselves on a strictly local hometown news approach. If the news is not in your backyard or next door, you won't find it in our papers.
Your family, your neighbors, your schools, your parade, your sports teams, your governments, your news, Your Examiner.

Our History

Examiner Publications, Inc. has been in business for over 30 years. The Examiner covers eight separate communities; Bartlett, which began hitting the presses in 1991; Carol Stream, the major news source since 1978; Hanover Park, in 1992; Wayne which began in 1993; Streamwood, in 1997; St. Charles in 2003; South Elgin in 2005 and Camptom Hills started in 2007.

The Examiner is strictly a local, community newspaper. It tells the stories of the unsung heroes, often on page one. Municipal, Park District and School Board meetings are covered extensively. It also provides a valuable news platform for neighborhoods, churches, and civic and social groups.

The Examiner is sold on newsstands, by subscription through the mail, and by carrier delivery, door to door.
